High Voltage Power with Piezoelectric Transformers

High voltage (100 kV) power supply sources will be developed using compact piezoelectric transformers, aiming at neutron source applications. Gamma-ray inspection systems for carry-on baggage screening is required, rather than x-ray screening because of high accuracy for monitoring the liquid in the bag. The present bottleneck for this technology is lack of compact high voltage sources, which our team will provide.
