Laboratory for Intelligent Agents
Development of intelligent agent technologies--specifically, team-based agents and market-based agents--is the focus of this lab with sponsors such as Lockheed Martin, Air Force Office of Scientific Research and DARPA. The Lab aims to develop team-based agent technologies that facilitate a distributed team to collaborate and make decisions in a dynamic environment by proactively exchanging and fusing information based on a "shared mental model" about the team. The second focus of our lab is to develop market-based agent technologies for addressing critical issues regarding negotiation, resource allocation, supply chain management, and web services.
Team-based agents that assist intelligence analysts in dealing with information overload could enhance homeland security efforts; market-based agents that can interact with humans and electronic marketplaces can improve supply chain management.
